Born in Brunei, but living in England now Sarah's work combines elements from
both east and west. More specifically Sarah is concerned with the pattern,
decoration, shape, form and texture of an object, and how these things are
interpreted differently by the two cultures.

Having initially studied graphics at degree level in Bristol, Sarah has gained an in depth understanding of graphical processes and sketchbook techniques which still often underpins the research and development of her pieces. Sarah then went on to study jewellery in the Sir John Cass department of Art Media and Design gaining her City and Guilds Certificate and Diploma, giving her the skill and ability to continue to develop as a jeweller.

Her techniques involve intricate piercing, press forming, etching and overlay to create individual, imaginative pieces. Uniquely, Sarah will often incorporate duality into a piece of jewellery, allowing the wearer to choose where and how to wear it.
